Your sail begins at Beal’s Lobster Pier on Clark Point Road in Southwest Harbor. I’ll meet you there and take you by dinghy out to Swan on her mooring.

Getting Aboard Swan
Swan is kept on a mooring in Southwest Harbor.
From Beal’s Lobster Pier, I’ll take your group out to Swan in our inflatable dinghy.
Boarding involves stepping from the pier into the dinghy, then from the dinghy aboard Swan, so guests should be comfortable with these transfers.If you’re unsure whether the boarding process will work for someone in your party, please contact Steve before booking.

Weather & Safety
Maine weather can change quickly, and your safety comes first. I keep a close eye on the forecast and conditions before every sail. If I wouldn’t take my own family out sailing, I’m certainly not going to take yours.
If weather or conditions make sailing unsafe or simply unpleasant, we’ll work with you to reschedule your sail or provide a full refund.
Light winds, light rain, and fog are a fact of life on the coast of Maine and do not necessarily mean your sail will be canceled.
Good to Know Before You Sail

You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before the time of your trip and receive a full refund. If you fail to show up at the time of boarding or decide to cancel after 24 hours before our departure you will be charged the full price of the trip.
If I have to cancel the trip for any reason we will give you a full refund.
- Dress in layers and bring something warm. Even when it’s warm ashore, it’s often cooler out on the water.
- Feel free to bring food and drinks. Alcohol is welcome in moderation, and we have a refrigerator aboard if you’d like to keep anything cold.
- Life jackets are provided aboard Swan. Children age 12 and under are required to wear a PFD for the entire trip. If your child has their own properly fitted PFD that they are comfortable wearing, feel free to bring it.
Yes, it is called the "head" or marine sanitation device. Please ask the captain how to operate it.
